Blonde

The Blonde is an old streamer made it for saltwater fishing, but very effective with carnivorous fishes. Was used a lot in Argentina by the masters of fly-fishing to catch the big brown trout.

Is possible to tie in only one color like the one on the pictures, all yellow or with two colors as is showing above, just need present to tie the wing with the darkest color.

Materials:

 Hook : Mustad 3407 #2 to 3/0

 THREAD:  6/0 Black
   TAIL:  yellow bucktail
 WING: yellow bucktail
   BODY: flat gold Tinsel

Tie Directions: ("click" here to extend this photo)

1

Begin by wrapping a thread foundation on the shanks hook.

2

Tie a bunch of yellow bucktail on the shanks hook. Just leave room enough to the wing and head.

3

To get the tail on the right position wrap the thread around the bunch as show in the picture.

4

Then secure the tinsel by wrapping down the thread, where the body starts and trying to get the appropriate angle to wrapping it on the hook.

5

Wind the tinsel in close turns to the rear of the hook, leaving no space between turns; wrap the  tinsel forward in the same manner.

6

Tie a bunch of yellow bucktail to make the wing, it must be shorter than the tail.

7

Form the head, tie up, cut the thread and apply head cement.
